In Feng Shui, a well arranged bedroom can easily create a calm and serene environment so that your body can relax and you feel completely safe.

Do you know that some of our most important internal organs restore their energy and essence throughout the night, for example:

→ Liver regenerates between 11pm-3am

→ Lungs restore themselves from 3am-7am.

Therefore, in order to promote these restorative processes, it is important to keep the energy within a bedroom restful and Yin.

And here are the 7 simple Feng Shui tips that you can review and implement today so the energy within your home is supportive.

Feng Shui Tip 1. Your bedhead should always be against a solid wall.

Within a bedroom, the first thing we look at is your bed placement, in particular, where the bedhead is located.

Your bedhead should always be against a solid wall, as this represents strong support and protection in life. It can also promote sound and restful sleep.

Ideally, the wall where your bedhead is against should not be broken up by windows, wardrobes or ensuite.

Below example looks beautiful however not ideal, as the wall is being broken up by the two windows.

Feng Shui Tip 2. Place your bed in a Commanding Position.

Your bed should be in a Commanding Position in relation to the room. This means you should have the broadest view possible when lying in bed, you should also be able to see the bedroom door, so nothing is taken by surprise.

Feng Shui Tip 3. Avoid placing your bed on the same wall where the bedroom door is located.

This particular configuration can place the occupants in a vulnerable position where they are likely to find themselves in a less empowering position in your life. It can also indicate missed opportunities.

Feng Shui Tip 4. When lying in bed, your feet should NOT be in direct alignment with the bedroom door.

This tip is to ensure that the energy within the bedroom is being fully contained rather than escaping from the door. Most often than not, the occupants have poor quality of sleep (ie. unsettled or broken sleep etc.) if the bedroom door is in direct alignment with their feet while they sleep.

Feng Shui Tip 5. Avoid placing the bed at an angle.

When a bed is placed in a particular angle, it is likely to create Sha Qi which can impact on the occupants’ health significantly.
